Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain can mean many things.

- Band around the hips/waist

- Sharp pain in the middle of the spine, or to the left or right of the sacrum

- Shooting pain down the back, through the glutes, into the back of the leg

- General stiffness around the entire area

- Spasms on either side of the lumbar spine

The great thing is that all of these symptoms are almost always due to tightness in the muscle and fascia. And it doesn't take much to get these muscles to release and start functioning properly. This is something I treat every day with great success.

However, if you are experiencing intense shooting pains, especially if accompanied by weakness, numbness or tingling, go see your GP to rule out anything more serious.
